The Sotheby's sale a day earlier sets a new world record for any Jewellery auction selling CHF171m ($USD 175.1m).
The Unique Pink, A Superb Pear-Shaped Fancy Vivid Pink Diamond Ring weighing15.38 carats, VVS2 clarity, Type IIa is the largest pear-shaped vivid pink diamond ever to come to auction. The Unique Pink fetched CHF30,826,000 (US$ 31,561,200 / HK$ 244,983,312. Estimated: CHF26,900,000-36,500,000) or US$ 2,052,094 per carat.
Another important diamond was Lot 494, A Superb Fancy Vivid Blue Diamond Ring, 7.32 carats, Internally Flawless. The blue diamond was sold for US$2,337,791 per carat, reaching a total of CHF16,714,000 (US$ 17,112,629 / HK$ 132,831,087. Estimated: CHF14,400,000-24,000,000).
